Tangerang – Soekarno-Hatta Airport Continues Positive Growth Throughout 2024 Soekarno-Hatta Airport has consistently recorded positive achievements throughout 2024. These accomplishments reaffirm its position as Indonesia’s primary air travel hub while supporting national and international mobility.


Throughout 2024, the number of passengers at Soekarno-Hatta Airport reached 54.8 million, marking a 7 percent growth compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, aircraft movements increased by 4 percent, totaling 362,643 movements. This growth reflects optimism for the aviation sector’s recovery amid the rising demand for air travel.


The top domestic destinations in 2024 included Denpasar (DPS), Kualanamu (KNO), Surabaya (SUB), Ujung Pandang (UPG), and Balikpapan (BPN). Internationally, Soekarno-Hatta Airport served as a key hub connecting flights to Singapore (SIN), Kuala Lumpur (KUL), Jeddah (JED), Doha (DOH), and Hong Kong (HKG).


Throughout the year, Soekarno-Hatta Airport underwent transformations to enhance service quality, one of which was the beautification of Terminal 3. This initiative included interior design upgrades, the installation of giant digital screens showcasing Indonesian culture, and aesthetic enhancements such as greenery in baggage claim areas and indoor gardens to create a more comfortable ambiance for passengers.


M. Holik Muardi, Asst. Deputy Communication and Legal at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, expressed gratitude for the achievements in 2024. “We deeply appreciate the collaboration and support from various stakeholders that have enabled us to achieve positive growth. This motivates us to continue providing the best services and ensuring passenger satisfaction,” he stated.


Looking ahead to 2025, Holik shared his optimism: “With the transformations we have implemented, we are confident in our ability to enhance services, accommodate more passengers, and expand connectivity both domestically and internationally.”


In addition to Terminal 3’s beautification, Soekarno-Hatta Airport is also preparing the Terminal 2F Umrah Lounge to provide maximum comfort for Umrah pilgrims. This initiative is part of the airport’s ongoing commitment to elevating service standards. With the same spirit, in 2025, Soekarno-Hatta Airport aims to provide an even better travel experience, strengthen its position as Indonesia’s leading airport, and support the growth of the aviation industry in the years to come.
