Tangerang, July 29, 2025 – Soekarno-Hatta International Airport has declared its readiness to welcome the transfer of a number of flight routes from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport starting August 1, 2025. Two airlines, Citilink and Batik Air, will transfer some of their flight routes to Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
As part of its efforts to provide optimal service to passengers, Soekarno-Hatta International Airport has made operational adjustments to accommodate the additional flights from Citilink and Batik Air. These adjustments include slot time scheduling, parking stand allocation, and coordination of ground handling services and terminal facilities.
Preparations also include operational adjustments in the check-in area, boarding gates, information services, and intensive coordination with the airlines. All these measures are implemented to ensure smooth and efficient departure processes while maintaining passenger comfort amid potential traffic increases. Customer service staff are on standby to assist passengers in obtaining information and navigating within the terminal.
With the transfer of several flight routes from Halim Airport, passengers flying through Soekarno-Hatta Airport are now served through Terminal 1B for Citilink and Terminal 2D for Batik Air. To facilitate access to the departure terminal, passengers can utilize the integrated public transportation system, the Airport Train, which connects directly to Soekarno-Hatta Airport. Upon arrival at Soekarno-Hatta Airport Station, passengers can continue their journey to the designated terminal using the Kalayang (Skytrain) free of charge.
Dwi Ananda Wicaksana, General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia's Branch Office at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, stated that this relocation has been thoroughly prepared to ensure a smooth and comfortable travel experience. "We are committed to maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring passengers continue to receive the best service during this relocation process. All operational elements have been prepared, from departure flow arrangements to information services at the terminal, to ensure passengers feel safe and assisted,” he said.
Dwi Ananda added that coordination has also been carried out with airlines and other relevant parties to ensure that service information is effectively communicated to passengers. “Information regarding terminal locations, flight schedules, and passenger service points is disseminated through various communication channels, including social media and digital information at the airport,” he continued.
PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia’s branch office at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport urges prospective passengers to double-check their flight schedules and departure terminals before heading to the airport to ensure a smooth journey.
