This park is a summary of Indonesian culture, which includes various aspects of the daily lives of the people of 33 provinces of Indonesia (in 1975) which are displayed in regional pavilions with traditional architecture, and display various regional costumes, dances, and traditions.
In addition, in the middle of TMII there is a lake depicting a miniature of the Indonesian archipelago in the middle, a cable car, various museums, and the IMAX Keong Mas Theater and Tanah Airku Theater, these various recreational facilities make TMIII one of the leading tourist areas in the capital city.
TMII has a logo that basically consists of the letters TMII, an abbreviation of "Taman Mini Indonesia Indah". While the mascot is a Hanoman puppet character named NITRA (Anjani Putra). The mascot of Taman Mini "Indonesia Indah" was inaugurated by Mrs. Tien Soeharto, coinciding with TMII's bicentennial, in 1991.
On September 1, 2023, TMII presented a new, innovative and revolutionary face of TMII. #WajahBaruTMII carries four pillars, namely green, inclusive, culture, and smart. The green pillar at TMII presents an eco-park with 70 percent of its area being a green park with minimal emissions. The inclusive pillar involves all levels of society to share in cultural offerings, while the culture pillar presents tourist destinations that encapsulate cultural and artistic characteristics and make visitors the main actors in every activity at TMII. Finally, the smart pillar completes the new face of TMII through the implementation of an easy and practical digital platform for exploring TMII.
